Pembrokeshire Holiday Cottages;
Mountain Hall

Our traditional Pembrokeshire stone built Cow Byre
(Y Beudy) and Grain Store (Ysgubor), have been converted into two holiday
cottages that offer an escape to both the countryside and coast. Set in 8
acres, the accommodation has seclusion together with easy access to the
beautiful and dramatic
The two barns form an L shape facing out onto a
shared courtyard area which provides ample private parking for several
vehicles. Bordered by low Pembrokeshire hedge banks, the property has
unrestricted, panoramic sea views out over the Irish Sea - on a good day it is
possible to see the Wicklow Mountains of Ireland. The coast and Coastal Path
are just a short walk away, as is the nearby cove of Aberfelin and the historic
fishing
The cottages are located virtually equidistant from four public houses The Ship Inn, The Sloop Inn, The Square and Compass Inn, and The Artramont Arms. All can be walked to within half an hour or so (or less depending on how thirsty or hungry you are!) with the Ship Inn and Sloop being the closest respectively. All serve good food and a selection of beers and are family friendly establishments.
It is just a short 15 minute car journey to the historic Cathedral City of St. Davids, or alternatively jump on one of the regular coastal bus services that run along the nearby coast roads. Relax and enjoy Britain's smallest City with its acclaimed restaurants, tea rooms and shops. There is a small supermarket, family butcher and delicatessen for all those essential items, as well as gift shops and ice cream parlours. Why not visit the majestic Norman cathedral, so well hidden in the valley you may well miss it completely or alternatively enjoy the attraction of a spectacular fully guided marine wildlife tour around the Ramsey Island nature reserve aboard one of the vessels that depart regularly from the RNLI lifeboat station at St Justinians and are booked from the centre of the town.
There are several excellent bathing beaches nearby. Traethllyfn and Abereiddy being the closest with Whitesands and Newgale a little further. Both Whitesands and Newgale are popular, especially with surfers and both have lifeguards during the summer. Abereiddy is smaller and is famous for the ‘Blue Lagoon’ a flooded slate quarry; Traethllyfn is only accessible by walking either via the tracks through farm land or via the coast path from Porthgain or Abereiddy.
There is a public swimming pool in St Davids and also one in the new sports centre in Fishguard some 20 minutes away by car.
A selection of literature and local guides are provided in the cottages and we can source additional information if you require.
For detailed information on the area there is a link to the Visit Pembrokeshire website on our links page.
As owner managers we are also available to answer queries and offer assistance.
